Since it opened in 1909, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been at the epicenter of motorsports history, on four wheels or two. Nearly all of the legends of worldwide racing have competed on the Speedway's hallowed ground, including names like Harroun, Foyt, Andretti, Unser, Mears, Gordon, Earnhardt, Schumacher and Rossi.

IMS is honoring the 100th anniversaries of the opening of the venerable racetrack and of the inaugural Indianapolis 500, through its Centennial Era celebration. Indiana businessmen Carl G. Fisher, James A. Allison, Arthur C. Newby and Frank H. Wheeler pooled their resources to build the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as an automobile testing ground to support Indiana’s growing automotive industry. The focus of the facility soon turned to racing, with Ray Harroun winning the inaugural Indianapolis 500 on May 30, 1911.

"No other motorsports facility in the world has the rich history and tradition of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway," IMS Chairman of the Board Mari Hulman George said.

INVESTIndiana is proud to host its latest equity conference at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event will be held at the Pavilion, located in the infield and close to the Pagoda and the start-finish line. Parking is within steps of the facility. (See map). Following the close of the conference, opportunities will be available to visit the Hall of Fame and take a ride around the historic track.

• Take I-465 South
• Exit East on 38th Street
• Turn South (right) on Moller Road
• Turn East (left) on 30th Street
• Turn South (right) on Georgetown Road
• Take Georgetown Road to W. 16th Street
• Enter through the main gate on W. 16th Street

From the South:

• Take I-465 North
• Exit east on Crawfordsville Road (exit 16A)
• Follow Crawfordsville Road east on 16th Street
• Enter through the main gate on W. 16th Street

From the West:

• Take I-70 East
• Exit north on I-465 North
• Exit east on Crawfordsville Road (exit 16A)
• Follow Crawfordsville Road east to 16th Street
• Enter through the main gate on W. 16th Street

From the East:

• Take I-70 West
• Exit north on Holt Road
• Turn north (right) on Olin Avenue
• Turn west (left) on 16th Street

Directions to the Conrad Hotel, from the Indianapolis International Airport

Leaving the airport, make slight left, following signs for Indianapolis/I-465/ I-70. Make a slight left onto the ramp for I-70 eastbound. Keep left at the fork, and merge onto I-70 eastbound. Take exit 79B for McCarty Street. Merge onto Madison Avenue. Madison Avenue becomes South Meridian Street. Turn left onto Washington Street, Conrad Indianapolis will be located on the right at 50 West Washington Street.
