Michael E. Kleinman is WellPoint’s Vice President of Investor Relations. His duties include external messaging development and relationship maintenance with a variety of public stakeholders including Wall Street analysts, large institutional shareholders, and potential institutional investors. Michael has 30 years experience in the industry, and prior to joining WellPoint, worked for the Indianapolis-based Golden Rule Insurance Company as the Director of Network Costing and Large Group Underwriting and later Director of Health Finance. Before relocating to Indiana, Michael lived in Louisville, Kentucky where he was CFO for Caretenders Health Corp., a publicly traded home health care and adult day care company. He also served as Executive Director of the MetLife Healthcare Network of Kentucky HMO. Michael is licensed as a CPA in Kentucky and graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree with an Accounting Major.
